One thing that should be pretty interesting in my upcoming class schedule is the idea of working with heart rate monitors. Ive never worked with them before, and am interested in being able to use them in a functional way. They are an important tool for PE majors when it comes to the promotion of life long physical activity in the classroom. So hopefully by the end of the semester I will be a expert when it comes to the heart rate monitors.
bye.

So Matt, how about that Health class? I was so bored yesterday that I was seriously falling asleep. He doesn't even talk about anything of importance. I have to admit it was funny when he said to say "Oh terds" and what ever else he said. We are going to have to do some major reading and studying for the tests...
I also believe that heart rate monitors are an interesting invention. We worked with them in my Fitness Education class last semester and I found them to be very useful. The professor would set an amount of time that the students needed to be in their target heart rate zones, and to receive points, you had to get in that zone. This tool is very reliable and easy to use. I would love to incorporate this technology into my teaching plan when I get the opportunity.
So Matthew, how was your experience working with the HR monitors? Were they hard to sync with the watches? Did you happen to pick up on someone else's signal whilst you were close to them? Let me know how you experience went.
J.
Heart rate monitors seem like a great tool to have access to. I also can't wait to finally get a chance to use them and i feel they will help aid in assessing your students. They seem very reliable and also easy to use.
